Abstract
This work presents some details of the development of the user interface
subsystem for a reactive system where structured methods have been used. The
need to monitor the system and the user interaction when anomalous situations
occur are integrated within the same essential model that expreses the
specified system behaviour. Also, the design makes a clear distinction between
the application behaviour and the user dialogue portions that are closely
related to the system. Some details such as the design of a task that maps the
user interface dialog with the application semantics are also presented.
