This page contains information about the course 2006-07 of
the
Declarative Programming Course
The students have to develop a joint project which will be
located at Sourceforge (Weso)
Development
The course is divided in 4 parts:
- October: In this month, the course will be centered in teaching
the main topics of declarative programming languages, using
Haskell.
The topics to cover will be:

November: we will develop a first prototype
of the system WESOX.
The students will be divided in groups and each
group will be in charge of one module. At the end of november each student
has to submit a report of his contribution to the project.
At the end of november, one member of each team will give a short
presentation about the team's work
- December: the groups will integrate their modules
with the goal to offer a first release of the system by 31st December 2006.
At the end, the students have to submit another report of their
contribution.
- January: Each student will choose a subject related with the
project or with declarative programming, and will prepare an individual
report about it.
Evaluation
The evaluation of the course will take into account:
- Report #1: Contribution to prototype (deadline: 1/12/2006)
- Report #2: Contribution to release (deadline: 8/01/2007)
- Individual report (deadline, 7/02/2007)
